Year 9 Options 2025 – What’s next for you?

Many of us don’t know what we wish to do when we are 13 or 14 years old (this is perfectly ‘normal’) although, a few of us may have very clear ideas.

In Year 9, getting curious and exploring what is possible is probably the best thing you can do, to help yourself to develop some career ideas. You can do this in lots of different ways, from talking to people you know about their jobs, through to researching online.

Over the coming few weeks, we will complete our Options process where your child will choose the subjects they will study in years 10 and 11. We are excited to work closely together to make this as easy as possible for you and your child so that they make the right choices.

There are a few key dates for you to be aware of:

Wednesday 12th February	Thursday 13th February	Friday 14th February	Monday 3rd March
Options booklet available for you to read prior to our Options evening. This will be live on the school website with a link sent to parents via Arbor.	4.00-7.00pm Please attend our extra special Options Evening. Colleges will be present as well as opportunities to speak to all staff. You will also receive a hard copy of the Options booklet during this evening.	Options form available for completion. This will be sent out to you as a link to a Microsoft form via Arbor and will be available on our website.	Deadline for Options forms to be submitted.
