Our library is a dedicated, designated reading space offering a full and current range of quality library resources to support all WHS students. It is a central hub within our school that ignites and embeds the joy of reading in our young people. It is a calm, positive, safe, and inclusive space that reflects the needs and interests of our students.
The library is open before and after school for quiet learning and reading. It is also open and break and lunchtime for students to enjoy. Students can borrow any book they like, it runs just like a traditional library. The library is used throughout the school day for small groups of students for breakout sessions and group work.
Students are involved in the running of the library, we have a large number of students who volunteer to help keep the space clean and tidy, and help put the books back once returned. Here are a few of our student librarians.
